Alderham is inspired by our beloved pet hamsters (and dog)

Pumpkin is our first hamster, he is a very sleepy boy who will take a nap anywhere, anytime. Pumpkin is also known for his constant hunger, he is always on the lookout for snacks and  adventures in dollhouses. He is very sweet and gentle, and loves stealing some scrambled egg from our plates. His favourite food is fresh basil. 

Peanut has a passion for building the most cosy and intricate beds and a strong need for tidiness. She cleans herself thoroughly before coming out to play. Peanut is a princess like no other, and has a huge crush on Paddy. (Please note that all Syrian Hamsters must be kept in separate enclosures.)

Paddy, who we like to call "The boy", is our little teddy bear who always needs a cuddle before going to bed for the night. Paddy loves chatting to himself when he runs, cleans, and in his sleep too.  His favourite food is dried banana chips. He is also terribly in love with Peanut. (Please note that all Syrian Hamsters must be kept in separate enclosures)

Piglet, also known as Piggy, lives up to her name.  She enjoys a good dig in her dig-box, and loves to make a mess. She also loves chewing on her house, sorting her various chew toys into different parts of her enclosure. Her favourite food is cat food with poulet-en-sauce. 

Maxwell is currently our only non-hamster model, he is a very big oversized baby who will do anything for a tennis ball. His absolute favourite food is cheese, especially Gouda, and whipped cream (given only on special occasions). Maxwell loves playing fetch, but without the bringing-back-the-ball part. His distinguished lack of ears, from his time before being rescued, makes him a perfect model for hats and crowns.
